The Melville Bridge Club has been uploading its results since April 2006. The main scoring program in use within the club is ScoreBridge. The club uses Bridgemates and pre-dealt hands in all of its main tournaments . At the end of the tournament the scores along with a file of the hands are uploaded to the web server and entered into a database. Each night a proprietary program runs and performs an analysis of the hands played that evening and produces a grid showing possible contracts. It has been found that the commercial hand analysis program used in the club to produce print outs of the boards played is not performing exhaustive tests. In some in cases the site analysis program will find possible contracts that the commercial one does not so the analysis on the site may differ from the one run at the club. We are in discussions about this with the suppliers of the commercial software. The transition to the new formats has started and new screens and functionality will be added gradually. NEWS: The web based hand records and the travellers once analysed now have a 'Leads' button which shows the number of tricks available for any given lead. This page has a 'print' button included.
