Melville Successes

Some Melville successes in May:

The Melville beat the Carlton in the annual competition between the two clubs;

Alan Goodman was part of the winning team in the 2012-13 Scottish Cup final;

Bron and John McWhinney (together with their partners Margaret and Ian Ross) won the Oban Congress Championship Teams.

Well done to everyone involved!

The Melville Bridge Club
Welcome to the Club PDF Print

We are proud to be one of the largest and most prestigious clubs in the country. We have members ranging in experience from those who have just started playing through to our grand masters and internationalists.

The club is located close to Haymarket station and has many buses stopping nearby making it extremely convenient. In the evenings, parking is free in the area after 6.30pm.

We provide classes for those wishing to learn or improve their bridge. The MBA, our teaching arm, has afternoon and evening classes taught by an experienced, friendly team.

There are a wide range of bridge tournaments available every day of the week (afternoons and evenings). These vary from beginner’s ‘No Fears’ events to regular club tournaments and some Scottish events which we host using our 6 playing rooms. We welcome visitors to our classes and tournaments, some of which do not require a partner. Please get in touch with us if you are planning to learn or play bridge.

We hope you can find all the information you need whether you are a member or potential visitor.

Enjoy your bridge!
